Everyone at Brookvale Primary School, hold the safeguarding and well-being of our pupils as a priority. Please see our policies and documents below. You can visit  https://hcypsp.haltonsafeguarding.co.uk/ for further safeguarding information.

The school’s designated person for Safeguarding and Child Protection is Mr R Moore (Headteacher), and the deputy designated person is Mrs S Sparkes (CFSW).

Our school is also part of a Police led initiative, which is run between Halton Borough Council schools and Cheshire Police. This project called Operation Encompass, has been designed to provide early reporting of any domestic violence incidents that occur outside school, which might have an impact on a child in school. This is done through a phone call to our school’s Key Adult (Mr R Moore).

Online safety – The internet often plays a huge part in many young people’s daily activities; allowing them to communicate freely with others and share information with ease via messaging apps, social media and gaming networks. Please click here for guides and advice on the latest apps, games and social media sites. More information about e-safety can be found on our e-safety page on our school website.

PREVENT DUTY

Mr Moore - Point of Contact for PREVENT

Brookvale Primary is committed to providing a secure environment for pupils, where children feel safe and are kept safe. All adults in our school recognise that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility irrespective of the role they undertake.

The Governing Body fully accepts the school's responsibility to implement the Prevent Duty.

The aim of the Prevent Duty is to identify individuals at risk of being drawn into extremism, assess the nature and extenet of that risk and develop the most appropriate support for individuals concerned.
